Colonial Inn Museum

The Colonial Inn Museum in Mudgee, housed in the former West End Hotel (1856), represents the history of the district’s oldest town. Complementing its extensive collection of domestic and agricultural displays is a unique costumed doll display.  Open Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm , Saturday 2pm – 5pm, Sunday 10am – 5pm

Gulgong Pioneer’s Museum

The historic gold mining town of Gulgong boasts two museums. The Gulgong Pioneer’s Museum comprises an old bakery and historic buildings relocated to the site, a vast collection of agricultural machinery and transport items and an extensive display of phonographs and recording machines.   Open daily 9am – 5pm.

Turon Technology Museum

The Turon Technology Museum, mid-way between the villages of Ilford and Sofala, showcases the origins and development of the steam engine and its successors to the 1950s. An array of steam engines can be put into operation by prior arrangement.  Open every second weekend 10am – 4pm and by appointment.  Railway 4th Sunday of the month.
