At Moothi Estate, the focus is on producing outstanding wines at exceptional value

Located in Mudgee, New South Wales, Moothi Estate is a family owned and run boutique vineyard and wine producer. The Mudgee region is flanked on three sides by the Great Dividing Range, hence its Koori name, Moothi, meaning ‘nest in the hills’. Mudgee wines are steeped in heritage and we aim to carry on the expected high quality of the region’s product. The grapes chosen for Moothi wines are harvested from specially selected rows where individual berries are tested for ripeness, colour, taste and mature tannins to ensure what goes into the bottle is the finest wine we could possibly produce.

This vineyard of 100 acres is planted to various red varieties: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Durif, Zinfandel, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Chambourcin. This vineyard boasts some of our more famous red styles such as Glenesk, Ian’s Selection, Old Block and Block One. Our whites also do well in Mudgee: Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Viognier and we now have Marsanne and Sauvignon Blanc.

Petersons are the first Winery to ever win the Mudgee Wine Show Most Outstanding Wine of Show Trophy with a white wine (2008). We won the same trophy for a red wine in 2007.

WINES OF DISTINCTION –       to suit your great taste

In 2011, we celebrated 40 years of viticulture,

and  our 30th Anniversary   of wine production.

Petersons Wines have been producing quality wines for wine lovers since 1981. Not much has changed since then – except we now produce a larger range of award winning wines.

We would love for you to join us at any of our picturesque backdrops to laugh, relax, unwind, imbibe.

Petersons Wines is proudly family owned and operated since 1981

Di Lusso is a boutique vineyard and winery in Mudgee New South Wales, inspired by the wines and foods of Italy.

We have a low-alcohol frizzante Moscato; our white wines Pinot Grigio, Arneis and Vermentino are lean and crisp to suit grilled seafood and just about any fish or chicken dish (including some mildly spiced).

Our red varietal wines such as Sangiovese, Barbera, Lagrein and Nebbiolo are made in the Italian style – medium bodied and savoury; and our medium-dry Vino Rosato is an excellent match for salamis and other antipasti combinations.

Of our dessert wines, Aleatico is aromatic and sumptuous, and Picolit light and refreshing. Last but not least, is our very own Appassimento wine just right for dipping biscotti. Di Lusso olives and figs – both grown on the Estate, are also Italian in origin.

From the di Lusso cellar door on the northern outskirts of Mudgee, all of our wines, olive oil and figs are available for tasting six days a week.

Our winery and Cellar Door in Mudgee is a popular venue for weddings, anniversaries and corporate functions. Visitors are now enjoying our daily lunches produced by our reinvented Cucina di Lusso overlooking Lago di Lusso.

Those not able to visit the Estate are able to learn about, and buy, all our products through our online shop, or by joining one of our Loyalty Clubs. Through membership of the club, we offer recipes, wine trivia, news of forthcoming wine events, and boast what we believe is one of the best Reward Programs of any Winery in the country.
